  • Licenser API a library that is distributed together with the application, provides license checking services
  • LicenserProduction A license prodution tool, this tool maintains customers and licenses databases and
  • LicenserIdentification A Tool that enables the end-user to identify the computer to be licensed in a lock node mode.

Code version
The following release, match the Source Code version ends in ChangeSet 19391

  1. dotNet 3.5 must be installed prior to toolkit installation.
  2. The customer who produces a license must have all 3 binaries installed on the same directory.
  3. The customer's end-user who is executing a licesned application, must have LicenserAPI.DLL as well as LicenserIdentification.EXE installed in the application directory. The LicenserProduction.EXE tool must NOT be installed.

It is an excellent tool for a Beginner and Intermediate ones to understand how we can License our product easily. Here is the documentation that I have made and put in my blog

Quite a nice example to build upon and as such this can be used. Somethings could be better like be able to generate a time bound demo license first time the application is run and be able to remove the need for password while generating licenses.

This is very useful for software developers to give the basic knowledge of how to develop Licensing tool for business applications .
